  • The Churchville Hall was origanilly used as a Church (hence the name Churchville).
  • The land was donated to the village by the Robertson family to make a build a church/community hall, but the land is still owned by the Robertson family.
  • The hall is still used for community events, meetings, family get-togethers. It has a yearly Craft Sale every fall and if the village wants a craft sale, take out supper etc. it is used for that purpose.
  • The hall can be rented out to just about anyone who wants to use it for the A/M purposes. The cost of rental is quite cheap. If anyone is interested in renting the hall call Sylvia at 755-6379 and she will be able to tell you if the hall is available on the date that you want.
  • The hall was built in 1889.

  • The building is used by the orders; the Mason’s,& the Rebecca’s. 
  • The hall is donated to local charities and groups.
  • It is also used by the community for public meetings.
  • Renovated kitchen.
  • Local MLA's use it as an office.
  • It is available to rent for a donation, for birthdays, parties, etc. Please contact Wade Smith 923-2147 or Jim Langile; any of the IOOF members.
  • Something unusual about the building is it is known to have been turned. It originally faced the road on which it now lies parallel to.

Lorne Community Centrelorne hall

  • Dances are held there the second Saturday of every month, except for the month of July.
  • There is a pot luck supper every spring.
  • A New Year supper and dance.
  • The hall is for community use for voting, weddings, birthdays, parties, etc.
  • The hall it is free for people in the Lorne community but otherwise it is rented.
  • The building is smoke and liquor free
